Brief summary
CRI page showing Gabriel La Freniere’s wave-structure animations and standing-wave examples.
Article
The work of Gabriel La Freniere
Please note that these are actually 2-dimensional representations of the real 3-dimensional wave structures in nature.
The sum of inward and outward concentric waves makes a standing wave.
When the centre is moving, then the inward and outward waves are displaced in opposite directions. The combination then has interference fringes moving across it, as de Broglie predicted.
Additional summary
The remainder points to La Freniere’s larger animation and explanation archive. The page is primarily image-based and suited to visual WSM discussion.
