Cycles in the City ’26 — Foundation for the Study of Cycles

May 28–30, 2026 · SUNY Global Center, New York

The Foundation for the Study of Cycles (FSC) — the organisation founded by Edward R. Dewey and now home to Ray Tomes as Science Director — held its second annual in-person conference, Cycles in the City ’26, over three days in Manhattan. Continuing from the 2025 event, the conference paired scientific cycles research with market-cycles practice, on the principle Dewey himself held to: that the natural-science side and the market-analysis side of cycles work best when they inform each other.

How the three days broke down

  • Day 1 – Thursday, May 28: Cycles in Science and Nature. Opened with a session on Dewey’s legacy, followed by talks on hormonal cycles and generational theory, solar cycles, geomagnetic cycles, cosmic radiation and the 36-year cycle, and the primacy of time in quantum theory. Keynote: Michael Howell on global liquidity.
  • Day 2 – Friday, May 29: Market Cycles and Trading Strategies. Keynote: Larry Williams, deep-diving into market cycles, with analyst panels and interactive sessions on applying cycles-based trading.
  • Day 3 – Saturday, May 30: Practical Applications and Innovation. Keynote: John Bollinger (creator of Bollinger Bands), with hands-on workshops applying cycles analysis, plus a preview of FSC’s Cycles App technology roadmap.

A separate "Lunch with Legends" session brought Larry Williams and Jake Bernstein together for a small-group working conversation in support of the FSC archive-preservation project.
