San Jose, California100% RemoteDirect Hire$150k - $190kStaff Product Designer (Design Systems) Remote – Canada | Competitive CompensationWe're hiring a Staff Product Designer to join a fast-growing software company building collaborative workflow tools for complex, team-based environments.This is a strategic design leadership opportunity focused on shaping both the end-user experience and the design system that supports a scalable product platform. You'll operate across multiple product areas, helping define experiences, improve consistency, and establish design best practices that enable teams to move efficiently while maintaining a high-quality user experience.We're looking for a designer who combines deep product thinking, systems expertise, and strong cross-functional influence. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and company leadership to solve complex problems, drive alignment, and elevate design standards across the organization.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys navigating ambiguity, leading large initiatives, and building the foundations that allow products and teams to scale effectively. What You'll Be Doing Core Focus Own and drive end-to-end product design initiatives across multiple product areasDesign System leadership is essentialShape scalable design patterns, frameworks, and user experiencesPartner closely with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and strategic decisionsEstablish and evolve design standards across the organizationHelp create a world-class design culture focused on quality, usability, and business impact Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead design efforts from discovery and research through delivery and iterationMaintain and expand a scalable design system used across multiple products and teamsCreate reusable components, interaction patterns, and documentationCollaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation and consistencySimplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiencesFacilitate stakeholder discussions and align teams around user and business needsDefine best practices for design processes and team collaborationMentor and support fellow designers through feedback, reviews, and coachingInfluence product strategy through research, insights, and design leadership Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of product design experience within software, SaaS, or digital product organizationsSignificant experience building, managing, or scaling design systemsStrong portfolio demonstrating: End-to-end product ownershipSystems thinkingComplex problem solvingMeasurable business and customer impactAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives independentlyStrong collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, and executive stakeholdersExperience working on complex workflows and multi-surface product experiencesExcellent communication and presentation skillsComfortable operating in fast-moving and evolving environments Nice to Have Experience designing collaboration, productivity, workflow, or project management platformsStrong background in B2B SaaS productsExperience designing scheduling, coordination, resource planning, or calendar-based workflowsFamiliarity with enterprise software and complex operational platformsExperience working in fully remote or distributed organizationsExperience helping establish design practices, standards, and scalable team processesPrevious experience mentoring designers or influencing design organizationsExposure to data-rich applications, dashboards, or operational tools The Offer Competitive compensation packageFully remote within CanadaComprehensive benefits packageFlexible vacation policyOpportunity to help shape product direction and design foundations at scaleHigh-impact role with significant ownership and visibility Additional Information Current opening: YesRemote-first teamModern product development environmentCollaborative and design-driven cultureApplicants must be authorized to work in Canada on a permanent full-time basis
